A big thank you to all of our helpers during Neighbourhood House week;

To; Greg who with the help of Rohanne manned a stall in "The Strand" Mt Eliza on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday morning with flyers and program brochures highlighting the Neighbourhood House.

The mornington Library for allowing us to have a little stand and banner sitting in the library with our program flyers and brochures.

To our tutors; Cathy, Graham, Janine, Kati and Jeannie who graciously opened up their classes and welcomed people in to try some of the wide range of activities we have at the Centre!!

Neighbourhood House Week Day 4

Thursday we opened up our Freehand Drawing and Mixed media class for anyone that would like to come along and try their hand at drawing under the watchful eye of Peninsula artist Jeannie Laine.

Call into the center and check out some of the fantastic pieces of work that have produced that are currently  adorning our hallway wall by class participants - some with little or no previous formal artistic guidance!

Neighbourhood House Week Day 3

Whoo Hoo what a day !! The room was packed full of people ready to learn all about  staying connected with family and friends using Skype! Following our successful fun packed Skype session we shared lots of great information about Internet providers and learned a thing or two about how to create an eBook or ePublication using Blurb and Calibre!!

Dont forget to come along to our interactive drawing session on Thursday where we have plenty of drawing materials available for you to let your artistic or creative side out.

Neighbourhood House Week Day 2

Tuesday is traditionally our busiest day of the week program wise and today was no exception!! We had a great turn out for our "Village Cafe"and as always lots of laughter and stimulating conversation flowed over scones and pancakes washed down with tea and coffee!

Janine as always was a fantastic host - even tho she tried to hide from the camera behind this tree (lol), - making sure that everyone had something to eat and drink and someone to talk to !!

Whats on for Day 3????  -   

From 9am -11am come along to our Computer class and learn all about Skype and how to Skype to stay in touch with your family and friends!! Bring along your computer problems and share with the group - lets find some answers to all your niggling computer queries!
From 10am - 12pm Join Kati and her Italian class and learn all about Italian! You are welcome to join in or just listen! Kati can help you to easily understand  and speak Italian !

Neighbourhood House Week Day 1

Day 1 of Neighbourhood House week has drawn to a close - A free workshop facilitated by  Cathy Alexander entitled"The Joys and Challenges of Life Story Writing" was well received and everyone learned some wonderful tips and tricks as well as exploring how to get started without being overwhelmed !

Tuesday from 9am - 11am come down to the Centre and play chess ! or 

from 10am - 12pm call into our Village Cafe for scintillating conversation over a scone and cuppa!

Neighbourhood House Week!!

There are some fantastic free sessions for you to come along and experience as well as talk to Greg  who will be in the Ritchies complex Mt Eliza on Monday and Tuesday morning. Check out the display in the Mornington Library and chat with Narelle at Wednesday's Mornington Market about all the great opportunities your local Neighbourhood House offers!
